JC Wilkins has supplied wall and ceiling insulation and acoustic doors for a United Utilities water pumping station.
JC Wilkins provided JCW Silent Boards and JCW Acoustic Steel Doors to prevent noise generated by the pumping operations from disturbing nearby residents in Blackburn.
The JCW Silent Board reduces sound transmission through walls and ceilings. It is suitable for use on solid, lightweight or existing plasterboard structures. It can also be used where existing walls have failed pre-completion testing. The JCW Silent Board has a slim 27.5mm profile and meets Part E of the building regulations.
The board is made from 100 per cent recycled material, offers fire retardant properties and can be finished with any type of decorative finish.
JCW Acoustic Steel Doors can provide sound reduction ratings of 34 dB or 55 dB. The doors have a rugged steel construction and can be manufactured to suit all door and frame sizes.
JCW Acoustic Steel Doors are fully tested in accordance with BS EN ISO 140: Part 3: 1995, offer 34 dB to 55 dB sound reduction, and also offer a minimum fire rating of 60 minutes.
