Friday, the 13th of November, proved to be a day of celebration and joy for everyone at JCW, as the staff came together to throw a surprise party for the Group Managing Director, John Wilkins, in honour of his 60th birthday. The day, often considered unlucky by some, was anything but that for John, as he was greeted by an outpouring of well-wishes, laughter, and a heartfelt celebration from the entire team.
John Wilkins, who founded JCW 22 years ago in 1993, has been a driving force behind the company’s growth and success. His leadership, vision, and commitment have shaped JCW into the thriving business it is today. Reaching this significant milestone, both in age and career, was a perfect occasion for the team to reflect on the achievements and progress made under his guidance.
The surprise party was a well-coordinated event, with employees from across the group coming together to honour their MD. The atmosphere was filled with excitement as John arrived to find the office decked out in decorations, with banners and balloons marking the special day. A bespoke cake featuring the company’s branding and John’s career highlights was the centrepiece of the celebration, and the day was filled with toasts, speeches, and memories shared by long-time colleagues.
In addition to the celebration, staff took the opportunity to thank John for his dedication and the positive work environment he has fostered throughout the years. His commitment to both the business and the people who make it thrive is something everyone at JCW deeply appreciates. The surprise gathering was not only a birthday celebration but also a recognition of John’s significant contributions and leadership over the past two decades.
Everyone at JCW would like to extend their warmest birthday wishes to John, wishing him a happy 60th birthday and many happy returns. As we look to the future, we are excited to continue growing under John’s leadership, and we are grateful to have such a dedicated and inspiring MD at the helm.
Here’s to many more successful years ahead, both for John and for JCW!
