JCW Acoustic Supplies – A UK Leader In Soundproofing And Sound Absorption

Once again, this part of the business can attribute its’ birth to the legislation in Approved Document E of the Building Regulations introduced in 2004, designed to overcome passage of sound issues in houses, flats and other buildings.

“After a period of 2 years installing acoustic decking, resilient battens and other peoples’ soundproofing materials, we took a business decision to move into the manufacture of our own acoustic products. We also benefited from our involvement in floor screeding, because Quantity Surveyors could order floor screeding and the acoustic flooring installation with total confidence from just one supplier”, says Mark Wilkins, Sales Director of JCW Acoustic Supplies Ltd.

“We also invest heavily new product development and an on-going programme of laboratory and on site sound tests carried out by accredited independent acousticians”, adds Mark.

In addition to supplying the Acoustic Flooring division of the company, JCW Acoustic Supplies division quickly tapped into the growing demand for sound absorbing and soundproofing materials across the building industry.

The range of products has gradually been expanded to include every soundproofing and sound absorption option for floors, walls and ceilings and has lately been extended to include movable walls and partitions, acoustic pods and even secondary glazing.

By 2008, growth in demand, from builder’s merchants and specialist contract customers across the UK, had forced a move into state of the art new office accommodation and massively expanded warehouse space at Waters Meeting Development, Bolton, Greater Manchester.
